Earn Free Credits: Terms & Conditions

Version: 2026-09-16 · Last Updated: October 7, 2026

1. Overview

The Earn Free Credits programme (the “Programme”) lets an eligible Opportify account (“you”) earn free monthly usage credits by displaying a live, visible link or badge to Opportify on a public web page you control. These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your participation in the Programme.

These Terms are supplemental to, and expressly incorporate by reference, the Opportify Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy (together, the “Main Terms”), which apply to the Programme in full, including their limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, indemnification, and governing law and venue provisions. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Main Terms with respect to the Programme, the Main Terms prevail, except where these Terms expressly state a Programme-specific rule.

You must accept these Terms before submitting a link. Acceptance is captured through a mandatory checkbox in your Opportify dashboard at the time you submit a link, and the accepted Terms version together with the acceptance timestamp is stored on the corresponding link record. Opportify may rely on those stored acceptance records as conclusive evidence of your agreement to the version of these Terms in effect when you submitted the link.

2. Eligibility

Participation is open to active Opportify accounts in good standing. Suspended accounts, or accounts found to be in breach of the Opportify Terms & Conditions, are not eligible. Consistent with Sections 8 and 9, Opportify may withhold credits that have not yet been granted, and may reverse already granted credits, only on the grounds of abuse or ineligibility. Before reversing already granted credits, Opportify will give you notice by email and a reasonable opportunity (at least 7 days) to respond or cure, except where immediate action is required to prevent ongoing abuse or where cure is not possible.

3. How It Works

  • Place a live, visible link or badge to Opportify (for example “Protected by Opportify Fraud Protection”, “Verified by Opportify Email Insights”), or publish a genuine article that links to Opportify, on a public page you control. Opportify does not require or request any particular sentiment, rating, or opinion in exchange for credits.
  • If you publish an article, review, or other editorial content that links to Opportify in connection with the Programme, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose the material connection with Opportify (for example, “in partnership with Opportify” or “sponsored by Opportify”) in accordance with the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and any equivalent local rules. The disclosure must be placed so that readers can see it near the relevant link.
  • Submit the public URL where the link/badge is live in your Opportify dashboard.
  • Opportify verifies the page on a recurring (currently weekly) basis to confirm the link is present, live, and visible.
  • At the end of each calendar month, accounts with at least one verified, active link receive the Programme credits for that month.
  • The Fraud Protection badge becomes available only after your account has completed the Fraud Protection Quick Start setup. Email Insights and IP Insights badges have no such pre-condition beyond active-account eligibility.

4. Credits

  • Eligible accounts earn 100 free credits per product, per month (Fraud Protection, Email Insights, and IP Insights), subject to change as described in Section 9.
  • Credits are cumulative and are added to your existing balance for as long as a verified, visible link remains live.
  • Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for money. Programme credits do not expire so long as your account remains active and in good standing; they may be forfeited if your account is closed, suspended, or terminated, or as otherwise set out in these Terms (including Sections 2, 8, and 9).
  • Only one award is granted per account per calendar month regardless of the number of links submitted.
  • The page must be publicly accessible (no login, paywall, or private network) so it can be verified automatically.
  • The link/badge must be visible to visitors and must not be hidden (for example via display:none, zero-size, cloaking, or off-screen positioning).
  • The link must point to an official Opportify domain. You are free to keep or add your own link qualification, such as rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow"; the badge/link we provide already ships pre-qualified as rel="sponsored". Verification and crediting do not depend on the link passing search-ranking credit, so link qualification never affects your eligibility.
  • Content hosting the link must be lawful and must not be spammy, deceptive, adult, hateful, or otherwise in breach of the Opportify Terms & Conditions.

6. Badge & Trademark Licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Opportify grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, royalty-free, and revocable licence to display the Opportify badge, logo, and associated marks (together, the “Badge”) solely as provided by Opportify and solely for the purpose of participating in the Programme. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Opportify.

You must display the Badge only in the form supplied and must not alter, recolour, animate, crop, redraw, or otherwise modify it, or remove the embedded reference code or link. You must not use the Badge or the Opportify marks in any way that is misleading, that disparages Opportify, or that implies a partnership, sponsorship, certification, or endorsement by Opportify beyond participation in the Programme. The Badge confers no ownership interest in the Opportify marks, and all goodwill arising from its use inures solely to Opportify.

Opportify reserves the right to set and update usage and quality-control guidelines for the Badge, and to suspend or revoke this licence at any time and in its sole discretion. On revocation or on your exit from the Programme, you must promptly remove the Badge and any Opportify marks from your pages.

7. Verification & Monitoring

Opportify verifies submitted URLs from its own infrastructure on a recurring basis. Opportify only fetches the public page you submit for the sole purpose of confirming the link is present and visible. If a link cannot be verified, we will notify you by email; if it remains unverified, the account stops earning Programme credits and the link may be disabled. You may add or remove links at any time from your dashboard.

The badge/link we provide includes a unique reference code and standard campaign (UTM) parameters in its URL. The reference code lets us confirm the link belongs to your account and credit you correctly; the campaign parameters let us measure referrals in our analytics. The link points to a genuine Opportify page and must not be altered in a way that removes the reference code or hides the link.

The badge/link ships pre-qualified as a sponsored link (rel="sponsored") with brand-first anchor text, because the Programme exchanges credits for a link. The Programme is designed for referral traffic, brand discovery, and attribution, not for passing search-ranking credit. Because verification relies on the reference code rather than the link being followed, your link qualification has no effect on crediting, and you are never asked to take on search-engine policy risk to participate.

8. Fair Use & Abuse

Any attempt to game the Programme, including cloaking, temporary or conditional links, link farms, automated or fake pages, or misrepresenting the Opportify relationship, is prohibited and constitutes abuse for the purposes of these Terms. On the grounds of abuse or ineligibility, Opportify may withhold or reverse credits, remove links, and suspend participation, subject to the notice and opportunity-to-respond process described in Section 2.

9. Changes & Termination

Opportify may modify, suspend, or end the Programme, or change the credit amounts, eligibility, or verification cadence, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated version and date on this page. Continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Already granted credits are not retroactively removed except on the grounds of abuse or ineligibility described in Sections 2 and 8.
